Protection Fire Company No 4 of Uniondale (Long Island) New York purchased a White-Xpeditor chassis/cab with a Boardman Company body with a mid-mount type ladder tower boom. This apparatus was allegedly never placed in to service by the fire company.
The fire company negotiated with American LaFrance to have this vehicle ‘rebuilt’ into a low-profile Century 2000 100 ft rear Water Chief.
This ‘rebuild’ was accomplished at the ALF Service Center, then in Dunmore, PA.
After delivery, again at the Dunmore Service Center, the rear portion of the cab was modified to add the “bubbles” for passenger protection.
The apparatus was later SOLD to the Windsor Fire Department, Windsor Ont Canada
